About Our Committees
Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors.
The role of the committee is to:
Assist the board in meeting its responsibilities for the operation of the Association.
Broaden the community’s input on discussions by serving as a means to gathering owner’s opinions and attitudes, means of explaining the board actions to the community, perform research and prepare recommendations for the board, report violations and approve architectural changes.

Committee Member Application
Architectural Review Board Committee
If you are planning to make any changes to your home exterior, involving painting, roofing, windows, doors, redesigning landscaping etc. you must submit an Architectural Review Board (ARB) form for approval.
No work may commence until your request is approved by the ARB Committee.
The ARB ensures that all the governing documents declarations, rules, regulations and guidelines are followed during the application process.

Digital Media Committee
From Website development, UI/UX design to website updates.
Utilizing social media platforms such as Facebook and other similar medias for the purpose of providing information concerning community events, governance, meetings, discussion, and other similar information.
Digital Media serves as an extended feature offered by the Board of Directors to aid in facilitating additional means of communication.
The website is Johns Landing HOA's official online presence.
Social media platforms are provided as a courtesy.

Fine Committee
The role of the Fining Committee is expressly limited to preside over the “violation hearing” and to either “confirm or reject the fine or suspension levied by the board.”
Thus, it is not the Fining Committee's role to grant extensions or otherwise change the amount of the fine levied by the Board.
Fines empower the board to carry out its duty to enforce the governing documents.

Safety and Security Committee
Is responsible for regularly walking the property to identity possible safety and security issues—lights that need replacing, hedges that need trimming, doors or gates that don’t close properly and so on.
Establish relationships with local law enforcement.
Remind homeowners about safety and security.
Forward gate damage and access violation information to the management company to pursue financial damage recovery.

Social Events Committee
Is in charge of planning community events and making sure that homeowners have the opportunity to meet their neighbors. For instance, the committee can host a events to introduce new homeowners to the neighborhood. The community holds fixed events such as the Garage Sales to Food Truck Festivals.
Towing Committee
Responsible for patrolling the community to enforce vehicle and parking violations, this includes during specific violation hours.

Violation Committee
The goal of the committee is to preserve the quality of living within the community by identifying violations of said Covenants and By-laws, Policies, Rules and Regulations and notifying the management company to contact the owner for compliance.
Welcome Committee
The purpose of the Welcoming Committee is to provide a personal welcome to new residents, answer questions and present a packet of pertinent HOA and local information.
Preferably, the visit will occur within 30 days of arrival.
