Architectural Review Board

The Architectural Review Board (ARB) Committee exists to review and approve exterior aesthetics and architectural suitability for proposed maintenance, remodeling and construction within the John’s Landing Community.
The purpose of this review and approval is to help maintain high quality standards, enhance property values, present a positive and inviting community image, and to foster good relations among neighbors and residents.
The ARB Committee is concerned with both the view of construction that may be seen from community streets and the rear view of construction that is seen by neighbors.

ARB Committee Meetings

ARB Committee Meetings are held virtually on Wednesdays at 7:00pm when required.
(Meetings are restricted to homeowners ONLY).
ARB committee meetings are NOT held during holiday periods, as the management company is closed.

Please refer to the Johns Landing HOA Architectural Review Board (ARB) Declarations, Rules and Guidelines prior to submitting application.

You must complete and submit an Architectural Review Board (ARB) Application.
Work may not commence work until your request is approved by the Architectural Review Board (ARB).
The Architectural Review Board (ARB) Committee has fourteen (14) days to inform you of their decision, so do not wait until the last minute to submit your application.
Any work performed without Architectural Review Board (ARB) Committee approval, which is required pursuant to the Johns Landing Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, Easements & Restrictions Article XV, may be subject to a fine.

Exterior Painting

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, the color of products may appear different on different monitors.
Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally and color reproduction on the Internet is not precise.

Exterior Color Scheme

Before selecting a color scheme please note that a home cannot be painted the same as either of the homes next to or adjacent to it.

If you are painting the exterior of your home, please refer to the Sherwin-Williams online Johns Landing Homeowners Association COLOR SCHEME GUIDE before making your exterior color selection.
Garage door color is selected separately below after Color Scheme selection and is directly related to color scheme chosen.
Shutter colors are to be painted the same color as the front door from the selected Color Scheme.

Garage Door

Garage door is selected separately from the color scheme but color is directly connected to color scheme chosen.
Garage door must be a solid color and can be painted either white, same color as trim or the same color as body when garage and house are divided by sufficient amount of trim. Garage doors CANNOT be painted the same color as the front door.

Shutters

Shutters are to be painted the same color as the front door from the selected Color Scheme.

Mailboxes

Mailboxes must be approved by the Architectural Review Board (ARB) prior to installation.
Please refer to the Approved Mailbox Design for the John’s Landing community before ordering your mailbox.
Mailboxes can be purchased from two companies: Creative Mailbox Designs LLC and Postal Products Unlimited Inc.

  • THE ARB COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT TO INSPECT THE WORK THAT WAS APPROVED, TO MAKE SURE THAT IT IS COMPLETED TO THE SPECIFICATIONS THAT WERE APPROVED
  • APPLICATIONS ARE VALID FOR 90 DAYS FROM DATE OF APPROVAL
  • IF WORK IS NOT COMPLETED WITHIN 90 DAYS OF APPROVAL, A NEW ARB APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED
