Residents may have noticed signs erected around all the ponds in the community and at the boat dock.
The areas around the ponds are the community Storm Water Management System and not recreational areas and can therefor not be used for recreational purposes.
No Fishing
Pursuant to existing law, the governing water management authority specifically states that community retention ponds are NOT to be used for recreation such as Swimming, Boating and Fishing. The governing water management authority originally stocked community ponds and cautions that removal of fish will result in a breakdown of the eco system.
Removal of fish will result in substantial financial costs to the community for the restoration of the eco system in the ponds.
